Winter in the Kootenay Mountains.                             I am a plein aire painter which means I paint the scene at the moment spring glow #40while on the sight.

It is cold here and painting inside has been necessary.

What started as paintings of objects in the house soon became views of the landscapes of winter.

Looking out the windows.

And the snow becomes more and more beautiful.

An adventure in painting and an adventure in the paint itself.   A painting a day and the paint teaches you many things.

Day 40 and like magic the cold snap leaves and the spring glow appears.
